Wait! Before you dive into your 2025 goals, open me!


Everyone is talking about 2025 goals and resolutions, Reader.

But FIRST, have you taken a few minutes to reflect and celebrate what went RIGHT in 2024?

I know, it wasn't an easy year. I truly get that. BUT it will make an astonishing difference in your energy toward 2025 if you *deliberately reflect* on the good stuff that happened last year.

Do you know the difference between toxic positivity and healthy positivity?

Toxic positivity says ignore the bad, focus only on the good.
Healthy positivity says acknowledge the bad, and amplify the good.

Here's WHY we need to consciously amplify the good:

Our brain is designed so that negative information is louder. It's not a flaw, it's survival. If you're on a hike and up ahead you see both a bear and some wild flowers, one of those things is more important in that moment. Right?

But most of us don't face bears on a daily basis, so we need to consciously amplify the good stuff so our nervous system really notices and remembers it. Give yourself a leg up and take a minute and answer these few questions, preferably in writing. Look back through last year's calendar or reports if you need to!

  • What did you do in 2024 to take care of yourself, physically and spiritually?
  • What moments of joy, big and small, did you experience with family and friends?
  • What went right in your business/career?

Hey, I mean it! Don't just archive this message and move on! *grin* This is the most important thing you can do to start the new year off right, so take a few minutes right now ok? Even better if you can pour yourself a second cup of coffee or tea, take a few deep breaths, and really enjoy looking back.
